· GoodReader is a great application for managing and working with PDFs (and many other types of files) on the iPad. It tends to be what I use. A while ago, I did a little video showing how it works.. The specifics may vary from app to app, but those Share buttons usually look and act pretty. Open the GoodReader app. Tap Manage Files at the bottom left of the screen. Tap IMPORT FROM ICLOUD DRIVE. Tap Open from iCloud Drive (no copying). Tap Locations at the top left corner of the screen. Tap Sync – Secure Storage from the Locations list. Browse through your Sync account and tap a document or PDF to open.
Option 1. Any cloud based service such as DropBox (Free!) will accommodate you in terms of easily transferring the files. Just drag the file into your Dropbox, let it sync. Go to your tablet and open the file. You will then need to "OPEN IN" Goodreader or other PDF reader because Dropbox does not handle PDFs well. Option 2. Open Files in GoodReader PDF files can be opened in GoodReader in several ways. From Another Application Most applications have an Open In feature that allows you to open a selected file in another app. So, for example, if youve downloaded a PDF with the Safari web browser, you can tap on the screen and an Open In button will appear. Tried dropbox but I have a huge amount of files (mostly just pdf books and notes) and it's taking forever to download.
