Android mms download fail






















 · I have an LG G5, using Android. I am using Messaging, not Messenger. Can receive but can’t open some text messages from an iphone. Says to Download the message but download always fails. I just change my setting from Wifi to Data and then try again. Message downloads. This has worked for the past few years for me. Option 1 – From Messaging App. Open the “Messages” app and compose a message. Tap the paper clip Attachment icon. At the bottom of the screen, select the type of item you would like to attach. Camera – Take a photo.; Gallery – Attach a photo stored on your phone.; Other – Attach other time from Video, Calendar, Location, Contacts, or Memo.; Select the final item(s) you wish to.


MMS messages (group chats, or media files) won't download. There will be a display saying it failed to download and when I re-attempt, it fails again. The only way I can them to work is to go someplace where there is wifi, turn the wifi on, and attempt to download the mms again. It seems that something changed on the permissions system on android (as part of one of the updates). It didn't happen before, but now if two packages from different applications ask for the same permission (in this case bltadwin.ru_SEND_OUTBOX_MSG pkg=bltadwin.ru), it won't let the second application install. MMS issues after Android 10 update can be caused by a software glitch which may be immune to the basic troubleshooting steps above. To see if you can fix your MMS problems, follow the steps below.


Try shutting off WiFi and see of it helps. maybe the device is trying to recieve the MMS message via WiFi and not the mobile data and that obviously won't work if it is being sent to you mobile #. You may encounter the failed to download attachment message due to corrupt cache/data of the MMS service or a corrupt cache partition. Moreover, incompatible messaging applications or invalid APN settings can also cause the error message. The affected user encounters the error when he tries to download an MMS attachment.
