To open a file, click its name. It will open in your computer's default application for the file type. To remove a download from your history, to the right of the file, click Remove. The file will be removed from your Downloads page on Chrome, not from your computer. Change default PDF download permissions. In other words, these PDFs are instructed from the server-side to download, and there is not much that you can do about it. Answer: It is simple. Go to settings and then advanced settings. Now go to site settings and then to PDF documents. In PDF documents, disable ‘Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome’ as shown in figure. Now, chrome will open pdf’s instead of directly downloading them.
